Do it Yourself Mini Greenhouse
Tuesday January 13th, 2026| 3:30pm - 4:30pm Location: Blind River Public Library (8 Woodward Avenue)
The Métis Family Wellbeing program invites you to come and build your very own mini greenhouse! Youths aged 13-18 will use the provided materials to build a garden, and will learn valuable tools and resources, such as: How to germinate (start to grow) your own fruits/vegetables, and other plants as well as what sustainability is, and how it affects us. Open to all youth in the Blind River area.
All supplies will be included!
Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Come learn and play Magic the Gathering at the Library. Every Thursday 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm. All ages. Cards provided.
You can now borrow a Day-time Use Vehicle Permit to Ontario parks from your library.  The passes will provide day time use for one vehicle and its occupants, allowing access to over 100 provincial parks (does not include overnight). This program is part of the Healthy Parks Healthy People initiative. For the Parks listed below, library patrons who have borrowed a  Day-time Use Vehicle Permit are strongly recommended to obtain an Advance Daily Vehicle Permit from the park to ensure entry on planned visit day. Obtaining an Advance Daily Vehicle Permit for the listed parks will allow people to plan ahead, which means more time on the beach or trails and less time in long lines, and guarantee they have a parking spot upon arrival.    Advance Daily Vehicle Permits  are available at the following parks:          Algonquin, Arrowhead, Batchawana Bay, Craigleith, Darlington, Forks of the Credit*, Kakabeka Falls*, Kettle Lakes, Lake Superior, Long Point, Mono Cliffs*, North Beach, Pinery, Presqu’ile, Sandbanks Sibbald Point, and Turkey Point, Bass Lake, Blue Lake, Bonnechere, Driftwood, Kap-Kig-Iwan, Mara, McRae Point, Pancake Bay, Point Farms, Rainbow Falls, Rushing River*, Samuel de Camplain, Selkirk, Six Mile Lake, Voyageur, Windy Lake. Blind River Public Library's memorial or honour program is a great way to pay lasting tribute to a loved one.

You simply request that a book or books be added to the Library in memory or honour of the person.

The Library completes the bookplate and secures it to the inside flap of the book(s) bought with your contribution.
